Jacket Racket

Shame on me!

I'm currently wearing the outfit I wore on Sunday, meaning I've doubled an ensemble within three days.

Does that make me a horrible fashion-head??

It's beautiful out, and though I realized just how chilly the wind was the moment my foot stepped out of my apartment building, I realized I still really wanted to rock my jean jacket anyway.

Here's a photo of my outfit today: Just USA skinny denim, loose and pocketed long tank from Urban Outfitters, B2 boots, knit vest with silk striped back from UO as well, Zara Trafaluc jean jacket (from six or seven years ago at least), H&M men's scarf and Tru Value Vintage necklace.

So many layers and colors! Love it!!

I'm Lovin' it: GAP media preview tomorrow to take a look at the new CFDA/Vogue collaboration collection. Fingers crossed Alexander Wang is part of this joint effort.

I'm Over it: This wind not only does a number on my hair, it also makes it about 10 degrees colder than it really is.

Track of the Day: "A Bright Light" by The Appleseed Cast. From Kansas. Indie rock. Lots of guitars.

Everything Happens For A Reason...

...but sometimes the happening part feels so goddamn crappy.

A peppermint green tea, chocolate croissant, Seneca Rising slouchy suspender miniskirt, and a big hug would be really nice right now.

Lazy Sunday...

...in the city!

I'm talking walks along the water, gourmet pizza, patios, Caesars and friends.

I broke out my old jean jacket today. Thank god I kept it around. It was the perfect cover up for the in-between weather straddling winter coats and cotton jackets.

Off to the some record labels soirees and the Fashion Week closing gala party!

Will try to take photos.

Haute Hippie...Interviewed!!

Thank you thank you thank you to the adorably adorable Sunny Shum for interviewing me on PartlySunny!!!!

Sorry for the lack of posting since Tuesday...hectic 'round these parts of late...

Lots of things going on this weekend that I'll be sure to report back on next week!

Happy Friday!!!

I'm Lovin' it: I sent the link to my PartlySunny interview to my family -- who are all currently enjoying the warm SoCal sun, them being Angelenos and all -- and one of my uncles sent back the cutest reply: "That's so Cool and Happenin'! The little girl reading with the little booklight in the middle of the night refusing to go to sleep - has come a long long way. Keep it up hipster! (excuse my old school jargon - he he he)". AWWWWWWWW!

I'm Over it: Arrrrrgh! Had a writing idea earlier this morning and DIDN'T JOT IT DOWN. Curses. And now the idea is either gone into the nether regions of my mind or it's going to come to me at some really random time.

Track of the Day: Oh no, brain blip happening right now. Did I already shout out "1901" by Phoenix? Their It's Never Been Like That album is one of my all-time favorites.

Breathe and Stop

Currently having myself one of the busiest weeks of 2009 yet.

Need to breathe and stop (...for real, and give it what you got...that was for all you Q-Tip fans out there).

Our local fashion week kicks off tomorrow, the Junos mayhem starts Thursday and the Wine Fest is this weekend (1,600 wines for me to get through over three nights), in addition to work-related meetings in between.

So yes, I might be pretty harried right now, but not enough to not post this LaROK fringed vest, as seen in that outlaw editorial styled by the indomitable Kate Lanphear for the February issue of Elle.

Getting ready to run out the door for a meeting to do a Starbucks java tasting session with a coffee master. Thank to Lisa B. at Karyo Edelman for setting it up!

Deconstruction Zone

Yesterday was the perfect Sunday.

Why?

Let me count the ways:

1. An 11 am sleep-in time.

2. Brunch with my girl Saritz at Crave on Main.

3. A jaunty walk in the sunshine down Main Street and up again in the sunshine and in my sunnies.

4. A new deconstructed mini dress in black! It was from a random store I'd never heard of.

Despite the rain weather, I'm sporting it today with my blue-grey tights while working at the library. No, really I am...see evidence below (the guy in front of me is oblivious to my sly picture-taking).

Anyway, I'll post a picture of my mini dress shortly!

Glove Love

There are two types of sartorial styles I prefer (or waffle between): the loosely chic haute bohemian (minus too many hippie prints) and the rock 'n' roll sexpot (this I'd like to do more often).

For the latter, I should probably invest in this very Karl Lagerfeld-like half glove, which doesn't have the price tag of Chanel or Fendi in the least.

I believe it's $65, courtesy of House of Field in New York.

Look at all that studded hardware! It's so Karl-approved.

Makes my heart pitter-patter just a little bit.

I'm Lovin' it: Rene Russo is the face (or is it foot?) of Brian Atwood's fetish-esque ad campaign for his new shoe collection. It's ridiculous that the woman is fifty-five -- she looks no older than thirty-five and has the body of someone my age. Or younger (which ain't saying much these day, I suppose). Anyway, Russo is the product of either some fountain of youth, good family genes, or Dr. 90210. Clearly.

I'm Over it: Pushing the pile back and forth into a pile-pushing vortex of nothingness, as my good buddy G. Davis put it oh-so-well two Sundays ago, in reference to a current situation.

Track of the Day: Here's a big shout out to L'il Wayne, whose track "Comfortable" from his Tha Carter III album I can't seem to stop playing today. It kind of takes me back to the early 2000s, with its beats and 112-like chorus.

Yet Another Reason...

...that fashion will be the death of me!

Here's a shot of style blogger Gala Gonzalez from Spain.

There's a time to be a creator, and other times to be an emulator.

This is an emulation moment.

Now to find me a pair of short short denim cutoffs, 'cause I know I already got them booties and gold chains...

Happy Friday!

Oy.

I'm sitting at my perch at Waves Coffee and it is NOT nice out.

Remember the last time I took a picture from this spot?

It was gorgeously sunny, and I was quite admiring a vintage bike cruiser sitting just outside my window.

Looks like this Friday night is going to be a bit of an "in" one for me. Just going to hang out with the gals -- maybe with a bottle of white, perhaps a pinot grigio?

Here's a song to take you into the weekend: "Papel Volando" by Kinky.

You might not be able to understand it unless you speak espanol -- Kinky is electro-rock from Mexico -- and the quality of this video is super bad, but it's a great song.

Be sure to click through to hear other tracks.

Ring A Ding

I heart massive rings almost as much as I heart a night of Gossip Girl with a side of Dairy Queen blizzard (cookie dough and peanut butter cup, please).

Almost.

But then I came across these very large, very chunky, very angular-cut rings from Kara Ross while flipping through a Harper's Bazaar -- and decided it might be time to shut off the television and put down the ice cream.

The New York-based designer also does handbags and a boutique jewelry line, the much more affordable sister collection to her primary one.

Ring around this Ross-y!

I'm Lovin' it: I can't quite tell if this large, spaced-out gold chain is part of the deep green, sparkly dress or if it's a huge necklace. But whatever it is, bravo, Elise Overland for Fall '09.

I'm Over it: The other day, I saw an unkempt, rather rotund fellow rocking a dirty black tee, dirty black shorts and lime green Crocs. Nooooooo! Bad, bad, bad all around. The bright side is that Crocs apparently may be going out of business, so I might never have to see this atrocity again.

Track of the Day: "Raquel" by Neon Neon. Seriously, how can you resist a group that has band members with the names Gruff Rhys and Boom Bip?? Rhys is formerly of late '90s-early 2000s band, Super Furry Animals. I'm pretty sure they're still kicking around, come to think of it.

Oh, Carine!

I'm currently watching the CNN special on Carine Roitfeld, my idol, who seems so kind, humble and layered, not in a clothing way, but rather in personality.

Who else also makes an appearance in the special, most on-camera, praising La Roitfeld?

Oh, just Patrick Demarchelier, Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Hedi Slimane, Karl Lagerfeld, Riccardo Tisci, Antoine Arnault, Francois-Henri Pinault, Emmanuelle Alt (a fellow French Voguette), Anna Wintour and her gorgeous spawn, Julia and Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld.

Ah, it all makes me wish I had been born Parisian.

PS. I do think the brief encounter CNN captured between La Roitfeld and La Wintour seemed a little awkward. Just an observation.

In A Clutch

London-based designer Matthew Williamson does lots of brights.

He's also doing a line for H&M with those brights, and though I'm not exactly camping outside the retailer's doors, I'll be hotfooting it there as soon as the collection drops so I can get this clutch in my, er, clutches.

My obsession with blue has obviously taken over my life.

I'm Lovin' it: My east coast gals at the Sweetspot are covering LG Fashion Week via Twitter!

I'm Over it: Itchy eye. Think it's my contact lens.

Track of the Day: "Strictly Game" by Harlem Shakes. Brooklyn band.

Buddha Love

I had a meeting this morning with the adorable owner, Alisa, of an adorable new boutique called Wish.List on the west side, where I happened to finally find the wallet that will be mine.

Meet Big Buddha's Starlet Snake, a hybrid between a wallet and a bag that crosses over the body. It comes with extra chain straps exactly for the latter purpose.

I've been noticing a lot of smaller, body-slung bags popping up at my favorite sartorial shops all over town. Are people downsizing their bags in the same way they're downsizing their expenses??

Following fashion trends means following economic trends, apparently.

What really got me about Big Buddha were the prices -- this clutch hovers around $70, considerably less than the Cole Haan tassel one I was eyeing at Holt Renfrew (for the past four months, at that).

Alisa's looking into ordering the wallet for me -- I'm having a hard time deciding between the blue python or orange python.

All I know if I'm way into the Starlet's gold hardware, but that shouldn't be a big surprise to anyone anymore.

I'm Lovin' it: This get-up from The Row is exactly how one should mix the masculine with the feminine.

I'm Over it: It's official. I have a cold.

Track of the Day: "Me and Giuliani Down By The Schoolyard" by !!! (Chk Chk Chk). Dance-punk! This song has a lot of great horns and house beats to keep you shakin' for, oh, a little over nine minutes.

Buh-Bye, Paris!

Paris Fashion Week for Fall '09 is over. Tear.

So here's a little ode -- via Sofia Coppola -- to the City of Lights.

Coppola, whom I quite admire as a creative mind and muse, directed her first commercial recently -- and, of course, it had to be for Christian Dior's Miss Dior Cherie fragrance.

Watch Maryna Linchuk traipse through Paris with Brigitte Bardot warbling in the background.

J'adore Dior!

I'm Lovin' it: Wow, oh wow. The Twelves show last night was everything I hoped it would be. Which was basically hours of straight dancing for me (and Guy D). Such a good move wearing my comfy vintage boots!

I'm Over it: Think I overdid it this weekend. Now I'm fighting off a sore throat and sniffles that no amount of mental battle will stave off, I'm afraid.

Music of the Day: I can't get enough of The Lonely Island's Incredibad album. It cracks me up every time. If you haven't heard Natalie's Rap yet, please please have a listen. Natalie Portman going from Rodarte at the Oscars to hoodies and swearing? She's hilarious. Love it. By the way, don't watch this clip at work. Explicit lyrics, much?

Happy Friday!

Soooooo.

Simian Mobile Disco was a bit of let down last night, and I'm sad to say that me and my girls Ovitch and Steph A. left before the set was even over.

The crowd skewed a little young (I'm an "old" hag these days), and the bigger venue made the show seem more like a rave. I preferred the first SMD show I saw a couple summers ago, which was at a much more intimate location.

Anyway, it may have been a disappointment but the hot dog I ate after wasn't. Until this morning.

On a lighter note, I can't get enough of Louis Vuitton's Fall '09 collection. (Or that Fashion Toast's Rumi Neely was a muse for Escada this season -- you rock, Rumi!)

Those LV headpieces made the models look like haute version of Minnie Mouse. Or a wacky version of Alice in Wonderland black headbands. Adorable.

And burgundy wine colors with metallic silver? C'est chic!

Here's a bit of Louis Vuitton from me to you (there's been a lot of peplum and more than some midriff-baring this season, non?).

Happy Friday!!!

I'm Lovin' it: Chillin' like a villain tonight at Ovitch's for the hockey game and homebaked cookies. Mainly because Fo'sho Shawna's birthday tomorrow night requires me to get a full eight hours rest.

I'm Over it: Rain is coming. I feel it in the air. Noooooooooooooooo. And the fact every time I try to download Common's Like Water For Chocolate album from 2000, it never works!

Today's Color Combination

White mini zip-up dress, blue-grey tights and tan boots.

It's a color combination I haven't tried before, but there's no time like the present to give it a whirl.

Here's the view from my work perch at Waves Coffee on Main Street today. Sunny! Gorgeous! Vintage bike cruiser! Makes me happy! All of it!

The three things I need to do today:

1. Buy toothpaste.
2. Buy new mascara (crusty = not good)
3. Get ready for Simian Mobile Disco!!!!!!

Say No To Small Fryes

When it comes to boots, Frye -- like Hogan (or is it father?) -- knows best.

When it comes to price tag, Frye is often on the high side of things -- think of a range between $200 - $500.

Everyone is cutting out where they can, but that doesn't mean you still can't get the boots you want.

After going to the Mac store yesterday to see if my cracked laptop could be aesthetically fixed (it could and the guy who helped me was adorably the stereotypical computer geek), I wandered into Browns and found Frye-worthy, above-ankle, below-calf boots in tan (with faded spots) for $137.

Oh yes, I did.

They're great quality, too, and come with cute Paul Smith-esque stripes on the inside lining.

I've already pictured these boots in springtime with my coral cotton Zara dress layered with my loose vest, old Trafaluc jean jacket, fringe bag and bare legs (tanned, hopefully). I'll post a pic soon, but this weather has got to warm up first.

Et voila!

Things That Made Me Smile Today...

Other than the glorious sunshine, these things made me grin big today:

1. Looking at my stash of tickets to upcoming shows. Simian Mobile Disco this Thursday and then The Twelves on Sunday! (With my girl Fo'Sho Shawna's bday in between)

2. This canvas art, found at a cute boutique where a collective of local designers show off their wares, rotating shop duties amongst themselves.

3. The Numark iDJ2. I've been scouring the internet for reviews on beginner DJ equipment, and this one seems like the golden ticket, for me anyway. It lets you play mix two tracks off one iPod and comes with most of the necessary fixin's, like two jog wheels for scratching, the ability to seamlessly loop, iPod charger and LCD face. It's not the end all, be all of DJ gear, but at around $500 USD, it's a good start for a (very, very) fledgling turntablist.

4. Bat For Lashes' album Two Suns. It seems to be working great as the soundtrack to my Tuesday. Check out her new single "Daniel" below.

5. The Juan MacLean. This American indie-electronica-disco house group -- who has toured with Cut Copy -- was playing at my favorite downtown vintage store the other day. Make sure to have a listen to "Happy House".

Bobbi Brown Makes Us Pretty Again!

Bobbi Brown -- the renowned makeup artist, founder of Bobbi Brown cosmetics, author and Beauty Editor for NBC's Today Show -- shared some tips with the folks over at Barnes & Noble Tagged!

Perhaps you, too, can take those Fall '09 beauty trends and translate them into daily life with her help.

Just take it easy on the 80s Dynasty makeup that was runway rampant, though.

How Funny...

Some things make you scratch your head in a bit of wonder.

I've got two this week:

1. Blasts from the past (or BFTPs). Interesting. Four have popped up their heads in the last month and a half. Four. Within a few weeks of each other. Hmmmm. Curiouser and curiouser...

2. I went to some dive hipster bar (with some really, really good music) on Saturday with Bri R. and some friends. At the end of the night, Bri wanted some Cheezies out of the vending machine, and -- lo and behold -- look what we found. Yep, that's vegemite. For $10. I suppose most people might have that in change in their pockets after the bar, but Kraft vegemite wouldn't be my pick for an end of the night snack.

I Finally Wore Them!

Yeeeeeees.

I finally got a chance to wear the Creative Recs Jenks got me, thanks to my new dark, ankle-length denim.

Putting on hightop sneaks makes me look like I'm seventeen again, but hey, being in my mid-late twenties now, that's not such a bad thing.

Like the tee that my girl Saritz bought this weekend (for her boyfriend M. Jones' bday) said, I got 99 problems but my kicks ain't one.

Beth & Jim

Try as I might, it never fails.

I go into our local luxe department store downtown and spend at least 25 minutes flipping through the single (yes, quantity of one) rack of Elizabeth & James located there, taunting me with its masculine-feminine clothes and downtown cool.

I've even gone as far as to try on the brand's deep purple silk shorts jumper, but have restrained myself from trying on the amazing boyfriend blazers, lest I break down and plunk down big money for one in just my size.

As most fashion-heads would know, Elizabeth & James is the first of two fashion labels from Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who named this particular line after their lesser-known siblings.

While it's not wise for me to keep visiting that rack downtown, it's a little less treacherous for me visit the E&J website, where the clothes are a little more intangible and a lot less easy to bring to the sales counter.

So here's a peek at what Mary Kate and Ashley have for Fall '09.

I'm Lovin' it: One of my Sweetspot writers, Ish S., made in onto the NYLON magazine blog today, looking oh-so awesome wearing purple denim from Mavi, where my other girlfriend C-Ra does PR!! Double threat, yeah.

I'm Over it: Schizo weather! Can't decide whether I need to be in a one-piece snowsuit or my aviators. Both, perhaps?!

Track of the Day: I'm beyond devastated to be missing The Kills concert this coming May, but beyond happy because it's all for a good cause: one of my best girlfriend Sushi's Hawaii wedding. The show's been sold out already anyway. I'm not going to lie though -- I have a girl crush on singer Alison Mosshart. And I was also hoping, wishing and praying Kate Moss would roll into town with Alison and Jamie (Hince), the latter of which happens to be her boyfriend. Rocking out with Moss backstage would've been killer, no pun intended.

Happy Friday!

This Friday happens to be gloriously sunshine-y, meaning I wouldn't mind playing outside right now.

I have a sneaking suspicion the whole weekend will be shaping up to be full of sunshines and rainbows, so I'm not too crabby being inside writing at the moment.

Ideally, I'd be sitting outside on some patio with my sunnies perched on my face while typing away, but that sounds a lot like Summer '09, not early Spring '09 (has the hedgehog seen it's shadow yet, anyway?).

I also figured I'd do a little top five list of sorts, perhaps a top five "Things of Interest" for today's TGIF.

And go!

1. One of the most fascinating people in fashion doesn't have the last name Wintour, Testino, Lagerfeld or Jacobs. In fact, this particular person practically owns Lagerfeld and Jacobs: Bernard Arnault. As France's richest man, Arnault -- as most in fashion know -- is the CEO of LVMH or Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, the largest luxury house in the world. The Wall Street Journal wrote a fantastic article on this man's rise to luxury power.

2. Paris Fashion Week is sick. As in the good kind of sick.

3. Sebastien Tellier's album Sexuality needs to be on your iPod. Yes, some of the songs are en francais. He's another show coming into town.

4. Erin Wasson opened for Isabel Marant. Could things get any better?? (Izzy will be getting her own post soon!)

5. There continues to be a proliferation of above-the-knee boots coming off Fall '09 Fashion Week runways, from the very high luxe waders at Prada to the tight versions at Isabel Marant to the super baggy style at Rick Owens.

Well, that's it for today, kiddies.

I'm off for a run, then Davis' birthday festivities, followed by a dance-off somewhere to welcome back our buddy Skirtz, who's home from Sydney for a just a week.

And since I've got Paris on the mind, I'll sign off with a big air-kiss and a hearty aurevoir!

Aurevoir, Olivier

It's with great sadness that I see Olivier Theyskens go from the creative helm of Nina Ricci.

He presented his last rumored collection with the French house earlier today, to spontaneous applause at certain ensembles and a great appreciation for the designer with such incredible talent.

If CEO Mario Grauso is willing to give him up, there will be another fashion house ready to snap him up.

You'll be missed till then, Olivier.

Not Another One

Since I couldn't quite plunk down the dolla-dolla bills for those Loeffler Randall heels the other day, I decided to go the lo-fi route with Zara, which has some amazing shoes in their windows right now.

It was merely supposed to be a very small stop after a lunch with my buddy Russe-ter, but it quickly turned into a new pair of heels.

Oopsie.

Check out my grey cut-out, peep-toe babies (a la YSL, Givenchy, Miu Miu, Chloe and Fendi), which entered my possession approximately three hours ago.

It was about eight times less than the Loefflers and about ten times less than any of those listed above.

There are ways to reconcile champagne tastes with a Stoli budget!

I'm Lovin' it: As I said before, finding new coffee joints has become a favorite activity of mine, just because I can't fathom writing at the same place all the time. Well, okay, I didn't really discover this java/gelato place, per say, but I was introduced to it by DB when he took me here back in December and haven't been back since. Till now. Anyway, I'm sitting in the most comfortable chair ever and wondering why, oh why, I've been putting up with those stiff stools over at Blenz.

I'm Over it: Um, this place is great, but they just played a Nickelback song, followed by an announcement on the radio that Rihanna and Chris Brown just got MARRIED. That better just be crazy talk.

Track of the Day: "Renegade Silence" by Sebastien Grainger & The Mountains, who are rolling into town on April 5. Ontario-born Grainger used to be part of dance-punk duo Death From Above 1979. SG has toured with Bloc Party, Hot Hot Heat and Agyness Deyn's boy Albert Hammond Jr., which ain't too shabby.

Um, Hi Shoe.

A little pit stop into Misch yesterday led me to discover these Loeffler Randall heels.

It's like an incredibly incredible Mary Jane, only with a thick, latticed basket band spanning the top of your foot instead of a simple skinny strap. Plus, they were ultra-comfortable. Pinkie swear, I could probably run a marathon in them.

Oh, and it has a zippered back.

No, Loeffler Randall isn't particularly recession-friendly, especially this number, which calculates somewhere in and around eight bills.

But the silver lining for those who are budget-conscious is that either Steve Madden, Forever 21, Nine West or Aldo will knock off a less luxe version within a couple of months.

I'm not condoning knock-offs, I'm really just calling it like it is.

I'm Lovin' it: I know this is a few-days-old news, but Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady got hitched. Can't wait to see the infant perfection that will be Baby Bundchen-Brady.

I'm Over it: I must have ADD or something. Went to put my laundry in the dryer, stopped after taking out only my wet denim and sat down to blog instead. Yeah, the rest of my soaking wares are still in the washer. Better finish the task I originally started.

Music of the Day: Atmosphere is rolling into town in May! And so is M83, again!! Only the latter will be at a better venue this time. Ticket lockdown is in progress. And anyway, who wouldn't love seeing Slug -- who called his last album When Life Hands You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold -- rhymesay with his Rhymesayers? I'll be enjoying your lyrics live real soon, Slug. (Note: the second YouTube video has explicit lyrics, so proceed with caution if you're at work)

Retrogrades and Stuff

According to astrology, Mercury is supposed to retrograde at the end of this week.

You know, things like big miscommunications, little fall throughs, major epiphanies, minor setbacks and other really, really fun stuff start happening for up to two weeks.

What up with that, planets?!

Anyway, I feel like Mercury's been retrograding for the past two weeks. Ugh. Mostly with work odds and ends.

So I'm going to the hockey game with Steph A. to get away from this weird planetary energy.

Ha! Take that zodiac.

Gene Pool

Working at home can be a big drag sometimes, especially for a people-lover like me.

Being chained to my kitchen counter-slash-makeshift desk is not my idea of the ideal work space day after day (the real desk in my home office is pretty much just storage for my collection of papers and lookbooks), so seeking out new spots to type away my life and people-watch is a past time I seem to have a great love for.

So here's my office for today: Gene on Main Street.

Lots of hipsters doing work here. Long communal wooden table to sit at (along with more segregated ones, where I am currently). Humongous windows. Interesting crowd filtering in and out. Good cappuccino in an espresso-like cup with a teeny-tiny spoon (tres cute). Fast Wi-Fi. Girls with awesome shoes (seen quite a few men's-inspired footwear since 8 am). Tons of colorful scarves (a staple hipster accessory). Shaggy-haired dudes. One spotting of red Wayfarers, despite the gloom and rain. A barista named Gideon.

Hmmmm. I think this may be my new Haute Spot.

Skye High

Hunting down the perfect new wallet that has me written all over it is one of my biggest fashion priorities right now, because the little green thing I'm currently rocking just isn't cutting it anymore.

Much like how I need my purse to be an extra large (because apparently my whole apartment has to come with me), I need my wallet to be NOT an extra small.

Last Thursday I rejoiced and did a little jig in my head, because I may have found The One.

Apparently CC Skye's Nikki clutch comes in a wallet version. Picture royal blue (like my new Graham & Spencer top) and lots of gold hardware. Thanks to the ladies over at Blubird who are working on my behalf to get one in store!

Not many of the accessories I own can be defined as conventional, and it's not something I want my cash carrier to be, either.

Quirky, cool, unconventional CC Skye -- just how I like it.

I'm Lovin' it: My weekend. Good company, good laughs, good food, good ski and good times. It reinvigorated my soul to get out of the city and onto the hill. There's nothing like mountain air to make you feel brand new again.

I'm Over it: Yikes. Why do I have 400 emails?? This madness has to stop.

Track of the Day: "Lights Out" by We Fell To Earth. Richard File and Wendy Raw Fowler. From California. File had been the replacement to DJ Shadow in UNKLE. Their music intergalactic sounding and really quite riveting.
