Electric Avenue

Renowned New York-based art auction company, Phillips de Pury & Company, has launched a quarterly sale called Saturday@Phillips that everyone needs to check out.

Art, photographs, design and jewelry go up on the sale block, some of it very affordable and some of it...eh, not so much.

Among the more affordable items range is Electric Feathers, a label from designer Leana Zuniga. The one-of-a-kind collection employs the use of dye, knits, silk and twisted rope, snagging fans like model Irina Lazareanu, who modeled for Electric Feathers' latest look book. These clothes are anything but cookie cutter.

Unfortunately, the only place to get the label is at No.6 in New York and Philips de Pury.

Fingers crossed that the following stores start carrying EF: Opening Ceremony, American Rag et Cie, Confederacy, Two Of A Few, Satine and Oak NYC (who has more Complex Geometries gear to buy!).

Then things will be a LOT easier.

I'm Lovin' it: The delicious breakfast burrito I'm about to consume. You know, cooking for yourself is kinda nice sometimes. More healthy and less money, too. I'd like to start 2009 with more cash in pocket.

I'm Over it: The only problem about cold weather are the dermis issues that ensue. Um, not happy about these dry cuticles of mine right now.

Track of the Day: "Lonely Does It" by Forget Cassettes from Nashville. Very melodramatic. The group is like a grittier, bluesy version of Bat For Lashes, in my mind anyway. I do prefer the lounge version I heard on Woxy, though.
