Pop Goes The Shop.
The novelty of a fashion collaboration has long worn off (or, to some, the idea has overstayed its welcome), but to me, as long as both sides of the collabo equation are relevant and covetable, I'll still like it.
My pal Michelle Rizzardo, the adorable proprietress of much-loved One of a Few, teamed up with lily + jae designer Judith Feller to open a pop-up shop in the Gastown boutique's open loft (which, I believe, was built by Michelle's hubby Trevor Fleming of Lifetime Collective).
The pop-up shop has Fall 2010 pieces -- like 100% silk dresses and cropped sleeve blazers -- from Judith's local line, among all the other covetable labels Michelle has hanging from her racks (read: Lover, Kaylee Tankus, Ashley Watson recycled handbags). My greatest love, though, are the super cute water color paintings of pieces from the fall collection that were not only on the launch party invites, but on the wall beside the pop-up shop loft.
Here are two shots from the launch party, one of the water color paintings and one of Michelle (in the frames) and Judith.
Happy Monday!

I'm Lovin' it: Daria Werbowy walking in Balmain.
I'm Over it: Where the heck did Monday go?!
Music of the Day: Model-blogger Eric Lodwick, who happens to be the little brother of Vimeo co-founder Jakob Lodwick, also has a Brooklyn-based band called Brahms. It's very good, I think. Check out "Subtext Is Deadly".
