A Moment With: Haute Hippie Bradshaw
You know the feeling.
The one where you feel like a complete douchebag/idiot when it comes to someone you like. Past or present tense -- or maybe even the gray area between the two.
Why do so many of us -- women and men both -- feel compelled to act cool, hide the truth or pretend everything is fine in order to: (a) somehow feel like you have the upper hand, (b) protect someone you care about and/or (c) not be "that" person (ie. emotional/dramatic retard)
Here's are the real questions stemming from this particular tangent:
Is honesty really the best policy when it comes to the dynamics between men and women??
If women are open and honest with men about their feelings, does the sudden lack of emotional mystery make us boring?
When does it become too late to be honest with that certain someone??
If the the truth no longer pertains to your current circumstances, is it necessary to reveal it??
I'm sure a lot of us, men included, have found themselves in some way, shape or form of the situation just presented. I've been there, done that and still have yet to figure out the best way to navigate this issue.
So unfortunately, I have no real answers.
Just figured if I put it out there, maybe someone will have them for me.
