I'm a Vancouverite who moonlighted as an Angeleno. My momma is the best in the entire world, and I'll argue you hoarse on that one. I've been in love only once in my life. The East Coast calls me but the West Coast is in my blood. Social butterflies -- and party animals -- are a great species. Fashion and writing will be the death of me, but what a way to go. Carine Roitfeld is fabulous. I would die a painful death if art, design, photography, fashion, music and dancing did not exist. Always kind of wondered why Smurfette was the only girl in town. I can't draw. Absolutely believe everything happens for a reason. I feel so lucky to have the girlfriends that I do. I'm a total sun baby. Think I might be a workaholic. I may have slight road rage. Ice cream and hockey are religions. I buy too many glossy magazines. Nothing beats someone with a killer sense of humor. Chivalry is really not dead. I'm a victim of minor vertigo and a serious lead foot. Always up for meeting people from paths different than mine and crossing paths with old friends. At the very end of it all, I want to be able to look back and say: Yeah, I sure lived a damn good life.

Asluxe You Like It

Asluxe is like the Northwest version of Doo.Ri.

And since Doo.Ri is on my list of coveted labels to own before my life expires, you can imagine how excited I was to find out about Asluxe, headed by longtime besties team Ashley Guidi and Sarah Wigman.

Their first runway collection -- dubbed "The Gray Area" -- debuted at last year's BC Fashion Week. Draped tops, sheer fabrics coupled with sexy, edgy and modern cuts made up the collection, fit for a confident woman who knows her body well. The label is simply an ingenious hybrid of west coast silhouettes and east coast attitude.

Depending on what shoes you wear with Asluxe, it's for the uptown girl, the downtown girl and the rock chick.

And for me, too.

I'm Over it: Getting a invite for the VOOM by Joy Han show at L.A. Fashion Week and NOT BEING ABLE TO GO. Drats.

Track of the Day: "Ladyflash" by The Go! Team. As one of many indie-pop bands with an exclamation mark in their name, this group (Sam, Chi, Kaori, Ninja and Ian) stands out a little more because of it's 70s movie/TV show soundtrack style, with plenty of instrumentals and horns back up the lyrics. This track boasts echoing background vocals and 80s-synchro sections imbedded within. You almost expect the gals from Charlie's Angels to run and jump out of your speakers in all their feathered hair and tight pants glory, with Don Johnson in his white loafers chasing not too far behind.
