Happy Canada Day!

I'm back!

Believe it or not, Haute Hippie spent the long weekend tenting it up in the interior, more specifically Penticton, BC.

It was a scorcher up there -- a friend of mine overhead a local mention her porch thermometer reached a high of almost 110 degrees Fahrenheit (or 43 degrees Celsius).

Anyway, after a long weekend of chilling, beaching, tanning and consuming (mostly, uh, beverages), it was more than wonderful to get back to my nice, clean apartment where I didn't have to share a smelly, communal bathroom with inebriated, random girls.

Plus, it totally made my morning to see this goofy picture of Kanye giving Marc Jacobs some serious bunny ears.

PS. Fellas, Marc and Kanye are doing a men's shoe collection together, so watch for it!






I'm Lovin' it: Lanvin and Acne just did a denim collection together. Check out the loose rolled up jeans. Loves it. A lot. Not as daring as the drop-crotch cropped pant making the rounds, so the more conservative can still have a taste of the trend.






I'm Over it: The long weekend is over in 12.5 hours. Darn.


Art of the Day: The New York City Waterfalls project, which turned on last Thursday and can be seen in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Governors Island. There are four structures in total than run till 10 pm each night until October 31st. Check out under the Brooklyn Bridge, between piers 4 and 5 in Brooklyn, Pier 35 in Manhattan and on the north shore of Governors Island for photo-ops. Compare it to The Gates project in 2005, but I say this one's better.
